Why Blog?

Well, this is definitely a new term in the english language. Why are blogs such a big thing?

What the heck is a blog?

Well, first of all, you are reading one right now. A blog is another name for a weblog or a web journal. It is sort of like an online diary. Here is a definition of a blog from Wikipedia and from Dictionary.com.

There are many different types of blogs. Many of the news sources are now posting blogs on their website on various topics:

  • ABC News
  • WSB-TV Weather Blog
  • NBC News

Even TV shows are getting into blogging:

  • The Apprentice
  • Law & Order
  • NCIS

Blogging is what helped Dan Rather into early retirement. It also brought to light what Trent Lott said about Strom Thurmond. Bloggers began writing, and history changed.
