Creating & Editing mp3 files

In order to upload audio files you will need the file to be an mp3 file.  If the audio is not an mp3 file then you can convert it within iTunes.   You will need to put in a work order to have this installed.

Steps to edit mp3 file

  • You will need Audacity to edit <audacity download  click on Audacity 1.2.5 installer

  • Download lame:  LAME MP3 encoder and save to desktop

  • Right click on lame folder and chose extract all, then copy lame.dll to clipboard.  Open my computer, c drive, then Windows, then System32.  Paste lame into System32 folder.

  • Open iTunes (You will only have to do this the first time you use iTunes)

1.          From the main menu select Edit --> Preferences

2.         Click the Advanced Tab

3.         Click the Importing Tab

4.         From the Import using drop-down menu, select MP3 Encoder

5.         Click OK

  • Import song into iTunes as a mp3

  • Open audacity, then import song from iTunes.  Time can be edited within Audacity.  Edit and then save to desktop.

  • Upload mp3 file into your blog, select Edit html and edit the address to reflect the html code listed above and your audio will play automatically.
