Blogs for Your Classroom

What is a blog and how can it be used in education?

A blog is a type of website that is typically arranged in chronological order from the most recent post at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom.  Blogs are an effective method for communicating with parents, students, administrators, teachers and members of the community.

CCSD provides blogs at our Campus Account, CobbLearning.net, powered by Edublogs.  CCSD employees may have a CobbLearning blog at no charge.
Click here for step by step instructions creating your blog through CobbLearning.
The CobbLearning FAQ document and the many tutorials, forums and user guides found at the edublogs website will prove helpful.

Typepad blog accounts are a popular alternative to the District provided CobbLearning account.  Typepad accounts may be purchased using local school funds,  The Typepad Blogging Guide will provide assistance setting up your blog.
