Apple rolled out iLife '08 today. There were no new applications in the suite, but lots of enhancements. From what I've seen, iMovie had the biggest changes to its interface.
Every new Mac will ship with it, so you'll start to see Macs with it coming into our schools. As to current computers, I am inquiring of Apple engineers and our technology support division as to whether or not current hardware in the district will run the new suite. At first glance, it appears iMovie would be a problem on existing iBooks in the district. It also appears that there is not a problem for anything with an Intel chip in it. That would be MacBooks, MacBook Pro's, and recent iMacs.

As always, I expect we'll try it out as soon as we can and let you know what we think.
An announcement was made regarding enhancements to .Mac accounts. If you have one, you'll soon have 10 Gig of space and more bandwidth- perfect for your podcasts you planned in our courses!
Finally, changes in the design of iMacs were also announced, along with a speed bump for Mac Mini's.
