On Day 4 we worked on our iMovie, learned about basics of web design and began learning about iWeb. You were given the chance to start your website at the end of the day. Please respond to this post and let us know the following things:
1. Something NEW you learned.
2. How you are going to use something you learned in your classroom.
Again, it is our hope is that you will be able to see how others plan to use the content in their curriculum and cause a brainstorm of discussion. Please do not feel you only need to post one comment, if someone posts an idea that causes you to think of something else, please feel free to post multiple comments.
The iMovie program has great possibilities for teaching and sharing w/students & parents! I look forward to creating classroom & program movies.
iWeb will give me expanded communication possibilities than my school blog.

I love that there is such an easy way to design pages for mt site other than html/netscape.
I would love to have my kids make a band page that is designed from their perspective for their peers.

I really enjoyed this iMovie acivity. It was easier that what i thought it would be. I liked how easy it was to edit and add the music and sound effects. his would definetly be a great source to use with my students for example when doing disections in Biology! Very interesting.

I enjoyed working with iMovie and Garageband. i can't wait to use this at school to make commercials for our KSTV and info channel. The only thing that could make it better is if I could get online at home!!! ;)

I figured out how to add sound effects to iMovie and am brainstorming ideas about different themes a general music class could use to create a movie and then film and edit it for class. We could create our own soundtrack in Garage band for the movie they film and edit themselves.

The potential uses for iWeb wil provide many opportunities for sharing.
I will use the web pages to show students as they work on projects during the year. I hope to encourage other teachers to use this resource.

I am much more excited about using all of these programs with teachers. I plan on really pushing technology next year and really look forward to using the Mac in addition to the PCS. I know my music teachers and my 8th grade social studies teachers are on board. I just have to really talk it up to the rest of the faculty.

Watching the works-in-progress and seeing what other people are doing helps alot. The instructors are great - I love how we can all laugh and joke around!

I'm getting into this I-Movie. I will be using it to make DVD's for lyrics for songs for my students using the powerpoint slides that I have already created.
I am looking forward to getting a web page together for my music program.

On Thursday, I showed my I-Movie. I was really excited that it was so well-received since I struggled a bit with this task, but in doing so, I learned a lot.
